Tom Kildea
Tom Kildea sings songs (his own, mostly) and plays the guitar. In his distinctive, “earthy” baritone, he sings of love and longing, of seeking and finding, of faith and hope, always “travelin’ on,” through time and space.
Influenced in his early years by the smooth pop of Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty, his own sound follows in the grooves of the great “distinctive” voices of our generation, most notably Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan. His is “spirit music,” organic, warm and intimate. Sometimes it invites you to hidden places of the heart, sometimes it lifts you up to dance.
Tom Kildea has played throughout the Northeast in a variety of coffeehouses, clubs, festivals and dives. Despite all his travelling songs, he is thoroughly grounded in Long Valley, NJ.
